week 3

Three weeks of posts!  I’m 100% surprised I have made it this far.  Keeping account of all of the recipes we have made and which ones we want to make again and never make again has been really beneficial.  We are planning on taking pictures to help keep track and to add something fun to look at while scanning for recipes.  Here’s what was on our plates this week: Continue reading


week 2

Last week was pretty busy.  I teach yoga 3-4 times a week after I’m done work and then typically choose to practice after I’m done teaching, meaning I get home around 9pm every night.  What made last week even busier was this.  Jason wrote the score for the film and we went to the premiere in Brooklyn on Thursday night at Kinfolk.  It’s all about the history and culture of our home state, New Jersey, seen through the eyes of two guys on their skateboards.  On top of that, I assisted a Baptiste Yoga program in West Philly over the weekend.  There weren’t too many opportunities to cook but we managed to get back into it this past week.  Disclaimer: Jason cooked everything and each time I came into the apartment after yoga the place smelled amazing.  Here’s what we ate: Continue reading

week 1

Jason and I have started taking a look at how often we go out and decided to start cooking more at home. We were spending TONS of money on all of the great restaurants in our little neighborhood of Philadelphia.  While I love going out to eat, I also love being able to pay rent and bills without having to worry.  I work two different jobs so it’s hard for me to not have a plan when it comes to eating.  I decided to create a menu and grocery list for each week from different vegetarian blogs I’ve found on the web.  So far so good!
